Banfield Pet Hospital recently announced that over 145,000 pets in need received assistance through its various community-oriented programs last year.
While Banfield’s hospital services provided care for over 3 million pets over the course of 2016, the 145,000 figure refers specifically to pets in need, such as those displaced by natural disasters and those in shelters and rescues. These efforts come, in part, from Banfield’s commitment to using its resources to improve the well-being of pets, people and the communities in which they live. A more detailed list of the ways through which Banfield is working to achieve this aim can be found in its 2016 Corporate Social Responsibility Report.
“At Banfield, Corporate Social Responsibility goes beyond our individual commitments and programs—it is reflected in the heart of how we operate responsibly as a business. As we look ahead to 2017, I am excited to embark on another year of working together to impact the pets and people we serve, the communities where we live and work and the broader veterinary profession.”
