The makers of the PetPace smart collar have announced a partnership with one of the UK’s largest veterinary networks.
Veterinary network Medivet will be rolling out a pilot program using the PetPace collar. The program will allow for patients’ vital signs to be continuously monitored through the PetPace collar without the need to schedule check-up visits. Medivet hopes the program will help them to provide a better service for their clients and patients.
The PetPace collar used in the pilot program can be used to monitor and transmit its wearer’s vital signs alongside additional information that may be useful to practitioners. Heart rate, respiration rate, body temperature, and activity level data can be collected through the collar.
“Beyond the benefits to pets, their owners and pet care professionals PetPace has had positive impact on Medivet’s performance, too. Our customers appreciate that with PetPace we are monitoring their pets continuously without disturbing them unnecessarily. They clearly see the advantage of the PetPace collar and believe the nominal fee is a money well spent to ensure their sick pets rest comfortably while receiving continuous, monitoring.”
