According to a new survey, Capitol Hill is a great place for pet-friendly workplaces.
The survey, sponsored by Nestlé Purina PetCare and conducted on behalf of the Human Animal Bond Research Institute (HABRI), involved interviews with nearly 200 offices of both the United States Senate and the House of Representatives. Among the findings, roughly 80% of the offices surveyed indicated that pets were welcome. The tendency of offices to welcome pets was consistent among both Democrats and Republicans and among representatives of all 50 states.
“Scientific research shows that pets in the workplace can boost productivity, collaboration, and employee satisfaction. We hope that more companies and workplaces will follow the lead of Congress to begin to think about pets as a way to boost employee health and wellness.”
— Steven Feldman, Executive Director, HABRI
